Welcome to Texas A&M AgriLife Extension  in Jim Wells County

Jim Wells County is located in South Texas, west of Corpus Christi. Founded in 1912, the County was named after James B. Wells, Jr. It covers roughly 845 square miles. During its foundation, its population of 887 resided mainly in Alice, which became the county seat. As of 2020, the U.S. Consensus counted 38, 891 residence within the county.

Jim Wells County comprises of the following cities and communities: Alice, Orange Grove, Ben Bolt, Palito-Blanco, Premont, and Sandia.

Adjacent Counties include: Nueces County, Kleberg County, San Patricio County, Duval County, and Brooks County.
